چکیده

Reactivity control compression ignition engines illustrated suitable abilities in emission reduction beside high thermal efficiency. In this research, nine various direct fuel injection strategies were studied numerically: three cases with single strategy and six split different start of (SOI). all simulated cases, equivalence ratio kept constant (i.e., 0.3). Among strategies, showed higher IMEP as a factor efficiency about 5.39 bar that occurred at SOI = 60 before top dead center (bTDC), while lower was observed for case 50%-50% injections each stage. Start combustion (SOC), burn duration CA50 factors characteristics affected changes. more advanced caused SOC where there 1.3 CAD advancing from 40 to 80 bTDC injection. Spilt SOC, which, also advanced, allocated strategy. There the same trend changes during change SOI. Burn variations insignificant them approximately close 4.5 CAD. According emissions researched study (Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), monoxide carbon (CO) unburned hydro carbons (UHC)), these pollutants are below euro diesel standards. Contours show appropriate study, which 45 degree strategy, 48 80%-20% mass 70 cases.

Numerical modeling of the effects of changing injection duration in double injection strategies in a DI diesel engine

Pollutant emissions from diesel engines are significantly affected by fuel injection strategies that could reduce NOx and Soot emissions. For the first time and in this study, numerical simulations were performed to consider the influences of changing the injection duration in each pulse of the double injection strategies on in-cylinder parameters and pollutant emissions. Results confirmed that...

An Experimental Investigation of Spark Ignition Engine Fueled with Ethanol/Iso-octane and Methanol/Iso-octane Fuel Blends

Alcohols have been used as a fuel for engines since 19th century. Among the various alcohols, ethanol and methanol are known as the most suited renewable, bio-based and ecofriendly fuel for spark-ignition (SI) engines. The most attractive properties of ethanol and methanol as an SI engine fuel are that it can be produced from renewable energy sources such as sugar, cane, cassava, many types ...
